The Lenox
Booster Club welcomes all Lenox families as our 2009-10
school year begins. We
are excited that your child will be attending Lenox and
we hope that you love this school as much as we do.
Research
overwhelmingly demonstrates that parent involvement in
children's learning is positively related to achievement.
There are
many ways that Booster Club has for you to get involved
and make a difference.
What is the Booster Club?
The Lenox
Booster club is made up of dedicated parents and volunteers
from Lenox who commit their time and efforts
to host a variety of events, projects and school wide
fundraisers.
What is the goal of the Booster Club?
The
Booster Club’s goal is to assist the students,
teachers and staff with fundraising, educational programs
and fun events. Our fundraising goal is $27,000 for the
2009/10 school year.
Who is welcome at Booster
Club meetings?
Any adult is welcome who is interested in promoting the
goals of the Booster Club (Parents, Grandparents, Aunts,
Uncles, etc).
How can I become involved?
Attend any or all of the meetings. Ask your teacher
how you can help. Ask Principal Matsuo or email our booster
club president, Sherry Dudeck at lenoxboosterclub@comcast.net.
There are many ways in your daily life
you can fundraise for the kids here at Lenox. The Lenox
Booster Club holds several large fundraisers every year
but along with those are opportunities at your local
grocery store, your place of business and even restaurants
in the area. Just take a minute to ask and you never
know what they might say…
Fundraisers executed by the parent volunteers for booster
club are:
Book fairs
Fall gift-wrap fundraiser
Lenox Laps
Ice cream sales
Outdoor School – plant fundraiser
Scrip (gift card purchase product)
Other miscellaneous fundraisers you as parents can participate
in outside of Lenox:
NIKE employee match program
INTEL employee match program
Maybe your company has an employee match program
Albertson’s grocery store school program
Box Tops for Education program
When are the meetings held?
Meetings are
held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the
school’s library.
What school activities are funded
by Booster Club?
Has your child played on the new
Rock Wall or the Tilted Skyrunner on the playground?
That was funded by Booster Club fund raisers!
